Jackie was born in Gretna, LA and is the oldest of 4 boys. He attended St. Joesph school in Gretna, LA, and then went on to high school at Archbishop Shaw. After graduating high school, Jackie moved to Thibodeaux, LA where he attended Nicholls State University. While there Jackie became a member of the Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

After graduating from college, Jackie moved back to the New Orleans where he started working in the pharmaceutical business. Jackie is the proud father of 2 boys, both of which have become police officers. The most exciting thing in Jackie’s life right now is the in April 2023 he will become a first-time grandfather.

For fun Jackie enjoys live music and has traveled great distances to attend concerts of his favorite artists. Besides traveling for concerts Jackie has had the opportunity to see many countries and enjoy the ambiance its cities have to offer.

In 2013 Jackie was appointed to fill the 18-month unexpired term for a candidate that ran and won a judgeship. Since then, he has run unopposed for the position of Gretna City Councilman, District 4. He has also served on the Jefferson Redevelopment Committee and served on the Louisiana Gaming Control Board under Governor Bobby Jindal. Also in 2013, Jackie was asked to be a part of the Jefferson Parish Finance Authority where he has held the position of chairman, treasurer, has served on the executive committee, and is now the chairman for the advertising committee. As of today, Jackie is the third most tenured person on the JPFA board.
