Graduated from L. W. Higgins High School – 1971.  Class President – 1969, 1970 and 1971. Participated in many student activities with Higgins and West Jefferson High School.  Attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

In 1973, started a 33 year career at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office with both District Attorney John M. Mamoulides and District Attorney Paul D. Connick.  Retired in 2005.  After retirement, was instrumental in the fundraising efforts of the I CAN Help, Inc., a non-profit corporation which raised money to support the drug court program in Jefferson Parish.  In addition to the work with I CAN HELP, INC., served as the Corporate Sponsor Coordinator for the Gretna Heritage Festival.  This endeavor eventually included all relationships with sponsors, setting up all TV and Radio interviews, organizing the annual sponsor party and many additional activities with the festival.  At the present, now a partner with Hurricane Promotions which produces local musical shows and serves as musical agents for many local talents.

Community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the West Bank ARC, Backstage at the POST, West Jefferson Hospital Foundation and the Jefferson Redevelopment Board as well as serving on many committees in the local community.  A lifelong resident of Gretna.  Also served on the charter committee and volunteered for five years to establish the Gretna Farmers Market and Gretna Art Walk.  Served on the Board of Director for West Jefferson Hospital Board and Board of Directors for I CAN HELP, Inc.

Most recently, established The Honorable Henry G. Sullivan, Jr. Foundation.  The mission of the foundation is to ensure our community has the best neuro-care in the region.  Funds raised support the LSU Health Department of Neurosurgery and their ongoing commitment to advancing patient care and research for brain tumors including Glioblastoma.

Married to the deceased the Honorable Henry G. Sullivan, Jr., Judge of Division M of the 24th Judicial District Court.  Proud mother of one daughter, Dr. Alicia Hindelang Austin and two step daughters, Dr. Kathleen Sullivan and Lauren Sullivan, J.D. and seven grandchildren.
